CrossOver 25.1.0 Launches with Essential Microsoft Office Fixes for Linux Users

CodeWeavers has announced the release of CrossOver 25.1.0, enhancing the compatibility layer used to run Windows software on Linux and macOS. This latest version focuses on improving the stability of Microsoft Office 2016 on Linux, addressing long-standing login issues with Office 365 Outlook, which should benefit users who depend on these programs.

CrossOver’s update also targets problems faced by users of EA and Ubisoft launchers, as well as various Steam-related issues, particularly regarding network connections. A range of "controller related problems" has also been resolved, improving compatibility for wired Xbox controllers and the 8BitDo Pro controllers. Users are advised to adjust Steam Input settings if controllers do not work correctly.

This release follows the CrossOver 25.0 update launched in March, which is built on the stable release of Wine 10.0. CrossOver offers a refined user interface and commercial support, appealing to those who prefer a more straightforward solution for running Windows applications on Linux as opposed to the community-driven Wine project.

If you already have a CrossOver license, you can expect an in-app upgrade notification soon. Alternatively, the latest version can be downloaded by accessing your CodeWeavers account. For further information on CrossOver, including licensing details and trial downloads, visit the official website.
