The update includes several noteworthy fixes. For example, the Discover app store has improved its "Still Looking" indicator, allowing users to know when it is searching for updates, rather than assuming it has crashed. Additionally, the Print Manager can now set a default printer when adding a new device, streamlining the setup process.
Users of the Notes applet will find that stick notes no longer have size constraints when changing display resolutions. Meanwhile, the Weather widget has been updated to respect the default units, eliminating issues with mixed temperature scales.
Further, the Calendar applet now displays event indicators above the main labels when alternative calendars or holidays are activated, enhancing visibility. A notifications fix has resolved issues with alerts from various applications stacking or appearing incorrectly.
KWin, the window manager for KDE Plasma, has also received a number of enhancements, including improvements to variable refresh rate scheduling, HDR brightness settings, and fixes to prevent crashes from texture allocations.
