Mixxx 2.5.1, the latest iteration of the open-source virtual DJ software, has been released with significant enhancements and new mappings for various controllers. This update introduces support for the DJ TechTools MIDI Fighter Spectra, Numark NS6II, Numark Platinum FX, M-Vave SMC-Mixer, Hercules DJControl Inpulse 500, and Reloop Digital Jockey 2 IE. Additionally, it features a piano keyboard mapping for the M-Vave SMK-25 II controller.
Among the highlights, Mixxx 2.5.1 incorporates toneplay, slicer, and beatmatch functionalities for the Hercules DJControl Inpulse 300. It also upgrades the mappings for the Behringer DDM4000 and BCR2000 controllers to version 2.5, and fixes various issues with the pitch bend buttons on the Hercules DJ Console Mk1. The update resolves VU Meter support problems for the Numark Mixtrack Platinum and enhances the Pioneer DDJ-SB3 controller by fixing slip mode and adding missing knob controls.
Further improvements include updates to the MIDI controller learning process, enhancements in the Controller preferences dialog, and an improved Waveform Overview.
