The latest release of the Mesa 25.0 open-source graphics stack has introduced significant enhancements and new features for various graphics drivers. This update primarily adds support for Vulkan 1.4 within multiple drivers, including RADV (AMD), ANV (Intel), NVK (NVIDIA), Turnip (Qualcomm), Asahi (Apple), and Lavapipe (software). Additionally, it brings Vulkan 1.1 support and numerous extensions for the PanVK driver, which caters to Mali GPUs.<\/p>\n

Among the core features of Mesa 25.0, there are new capabilities such as shaderInt16, shaderInt64, imageCubeArray, depthClamp, depthBiasClamp, and more advanced functionalities for the PanVK driver. This includes multiple Vulkan extensions enhancing the driver\u2019s compatibility and performance.<\/p>\n

Improving gaming experiences is a priority with this update. Mesa 25.0 optimizes performance in titles like Black Myth: Wukong<\/em>, Hogwarts Legacy<\/em>, Cyberpunk 2077<\/em>, and Ghost of Tsushima<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the RADV driver now supports two additional Vulkan extensions: VK_KHR_depth_clamp_zero_one and VK_KHR_maintenance8, alongside a new Rust implementation feature.<\/p>\n
