This means that if you find yourself enjoying some late-night tunes with poor WiFi, your scrobbles won’t be lost; they will sync to Last.fm or Libre.fm once you’re online again.<\/p>\n

The Turntable<\/em> app now also supports ‘now playing’ signals<\/strong>. This feature broadcasts the metadata of the currently playing track, allowing your profile to reflect live updates. It requires a minimum listening time of four minutes or 50% of a track before it gets registered for scrobbling.<\/p>\n

In addition, Turntable has integrated Glycin<\/em>, GNOME\u2019s Rust-based image-decoding library, expanding its capabilities in handling different image formats. Developers have fixed some memory leaks and updated Flatpak permissions to enhance functionality across various players and browsers.<\/p>\n

Beyond scrobbling, the aesthetic component of Turntable<\/em> has received a makeover. Users now have the flexibility to resize the app freely<\/strong>, moving away from fixed dimensions. The update provides options for a seek bar<\/strong> to track playback progress, allowing you to click and navigate through your music. Additionally, users can display shuffle and loop buttons<\/strong> on the player, nestled alongside the play controls. Moreover, a new ‘cover blur’ window style<\/strong> introduces an artistic flair, blurring the background based on the currently playing track’s cover art. The effect is particularly striking when the window is resized or maximized, enhancing the visual experience.<\/p>\n

For those who prefer a command-line interface, Turntable<\/em> retains its CLI functionality, making it suitable for headless setups or users who don\u2019t require a graphical interface.<\/p>\n
