Clonezilla Live 3.3.0-33 has officially been released by developer Steven Shiau, enhancing this Debian-based, open-source system for cloning disk drives and partitions. The latest version boasts significant upgrades, primarily focusing on support for imaging MTD block and eMMC boot devices, accessible in expert mode.<\/p>\n

One of the notable additions is the new ocs-blkdev-sorter<\/code> tool, allowing udev to generate Clonezilla alias block devices in \/dev\/ocs-disks\/<\/code>. Additionally, it incorporates the ocs-live-time-sync<\/code> tool to assist with time synchronization, which is utilized by ocs-live-netcfg<\/code>.<\/p>\n

The release also introduces new options and tools: the -uoab<\/code> flag for ocs-sr<\/code> and ocs-live-feed-img<\/code> tools for selecting Clonezilla alias block device names in the text-mode UI, as well as the ocs-cmd-screen-sample<\/code> tool, which works with the \u201crun again\u201d script. Moreover, the ocs-live-gen-ubrd<\/code> tool is introduced for merging OCS zip files with U-Boot-compatible bootable raw images.<\/p>\n

In terms of system enhancements, the update adds atd<\/code> and cron<\/code> packages, improves console font size management based on terminal dimensions, and adds mechanisms for checking the existence of LVM thin provisioning. The dhcpcd-base<\/code> package is now included as well, along with the ocs-blk-dev-info<\/code> program for fetching block device information in JSON format.<\/p>\n

Other improvements include new command options for b3sum<\/code>, updates to the ocs-iso-2-onie<\/code> script to handle multiple mkinitramfs<\/code> segments, and improvements to the ocs-lang-kbd-conf<\/code> script options. Furthermore, the configuration file ocs-live-hook.conf<\/code> was updated to ensure that the \u201cloop\u201d module is added to initramfs.<\/p>\n

Clonezilla Live 3.3.0-33 also enhances network functionalities by changing the Ethernet device linking timeout to seven seconds, refining the grub.cfg<\/code> file, and providing better readability in the ocs-scan-disk<\/code> output. It successfully resolved several bugs, including one affecting the --batch<\/code> option and another concerning image names with special characters.<\/p>\n

With the upgraded underlying GNU\/Linux system rebased to the Debian Sid repositories as of October 17, 2025, and changes to the live-boot package and Partclone utility, this version of Clonezilla Live represents a significant leap forward in functionality and support.<\/p>\n
