The revamp will include aspects such as the logo, fonts, color palette, and the default desktop environment, with the intention of introducing these changes in the forthcoming <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/9to5linux.com\/kubuntu-24-04-lts-is-switching-to-the-calamares-installer-by-default\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kubuntu 24.04 LTS<\/a><\/strong> release.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\u201cWe are seeking distinctive designs that exhibit the true essence of Kubuntu and appeal to both our existing users and newcomers,\u201d states Rick Timmis. \u201cThis contest is a great opportunity for skilled designers to actively contribute to the evolution of the Kubuntu brand. This is their chance to make a significant impact on one of the most popular Linux distributions across the globe.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>The Kubuntu Graphic Design Contest is currently accepting entries, with the deadline set for March 31st, 2024. Graphic designers of all expertise levels are encouraged to join the contest, contributing their vision towards shaping the future of Kubuntu. The winner will be rewarded with a Kubuntu-driven computer, either the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/9to5linux.com\/kubuntu-focus-ir14-launches-as-an-affordable-enterprise-ready-linux-laptop\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kubuntu Focus Ir14 laptop<\/a><\/strong> or the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/9to5linux.com\/kubuntu-focus-nx-mini-linux-pc-gen2-ships-with-12th-gen-intel-cpu-wi-fi-6e\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kubuntu Focus NX MiniPC<\/a><\/strong> equipped with 32 GB of RAM.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>But there\u2019s not only one winner, as the Kubuntu team will also award the second and third places in the contest, who will win Kubuntu Focus branded merchandise of up to $50 USD shipped, a trophy, and a certificate. In addition, the second prize winner will also get a runner-up entry featured on the kubuntu.org website.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>And, of course, winners will have the honor of seeing their designs on the desktops of the millions of Kubuntu\/Ubuntu users using the KDE Plasma desktop environment. Even better, the contest allows for multiple entries from the same designer, allowing them to showcase their creativity.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Kubuntu 24.04 LTS will launch officially on April 25th, 2024, as part of the Noble Numbat (<a href=\"https:\/\/9to5linux.com\/ubuntu-24-04-lts-desktop-installer-will-be-updated-with-accessibility-features\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ubuntu 24.04 LTS<\/a>) operating system series.
