Additionally, <em>Proton Pass <\/em>web extensions for browsers like Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome are now available.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>The recently released <em>Proon Pass<\/em> Linux application is compatible with all Debian and Red Hat-based Linux distros, including Ubuntu.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/proton.me\/blog\/proton-pass-all-devices\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Proton indicates<\/a> that an impending update for the Proton Pass Linux application will &#8220;integrate with the system&#8217;s authentication mechanisms and APIs.&#8221; This enhancement means that unlocking Pass could be done through your Linux user account, fingerprint reader, or a <a>module that supports Linux PAM<\/a>\u2014a convenient feature.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>One issue some might notice, similar to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omgubuntu.co.uk\/2024\/03\/proton-mail-desktop-app-linux\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Proton Mail Linux app<\/a> launched in March, is that the new open-source <em>Proton Pass<\/em> Linux app utilizes Electron.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><h2>What is Proteon Pass?<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><p><em>Proton Pass<\/em> represents an encrypted password manager featuring built-in 2-factor authentication, support for passkeys, password sharing capabilities, and an innovative email masking tool aimed at guarding your privacy and reducing spam.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>The application includes conventional password management functionalities such as password generation, password strength assessment, and editing of stored passwords.
