Firefox’s New Profile Manager Set to Launch for All Users Next Week

Mozilla is making strides to enhance Firefox by finally introducing a profile management feature that users have long requested. This new functionality will be available to everyone starting from October 14, 2025, coinciding with the release of Firefox 144.

Previously, the profile management feature was rolled out in April but only reached about 5.5% of users as of October. Users who want to access it before the official rollout can manually enable it through the about:config page. However, Windows 10 users may face delays due to existing bugs.

Mozilla asserts that this profile manager will help users keep their online activities organized and separate, catering to different needs, like work or personal browsing. The feature allows users to maintain distinct sets of bookmarks, extensions, and saved logins tailored for each profile.

Moreover, Mozilla claims that Firefox provides a privacy-focused approach to profile management, advocating that "what happens here, stays here." They emphasize the personalization aspects as well, such as customizable colors and avatars for each profile, allowing for a tailored user experience.

While other browsers offer similar features, Mozilla suggests that their profile management goes beyond mere convenience, contrasting it with what competitors provide. If you’re eager for the profile feature, keep an eye out for it in the upcoming release.
