The Document Foundation disclosed the global availability of LibreOffice 24.2.1, representing the first point release for the most recent LibreOffice 24.2 office assortment series. This update resolves over 100 bugs.
Released one month following the initiation of the LibreOffice 24.2 office collection, LibreOffice 24.2.1 includes considerable alterations like a newly incorporated calendar-based version numbering system, new security and accessibility features, and enhanced cooperation with MS Office.
The Document Foundation has dealt with about 102 bug issues across all the outstanding features of the office set for those who have moved up to LibreOffice 24.2 with LibreOffice 24.2.1. Specifics regarding these issues can be found in the RC1 and RC2 changelogs.
Obtain LibreOffice 24.2.1 from the official website. Binaries compatible with DEB and RPM-based GNU/Linux distributions packed by The Document Foundation are provided for download. Source tarball is also available for system integrators, or those wanting to build LibreOffice from the sources.
Those of you who have LibreOffice 24.2 installed from the software repositories of your GNU/Linux distributions, will have to wait until the 24.2.1 packages arrive there and then perform a normal update of your installations.
The LibreOffice 24.2 office suite series will be supported with a total of seven maintenance updates until it reaches its end of supported live on November 30th, 2024. The next point release, LibreOffice 24.2.2, is planned for the end of March 2024.
