Today marks the launch of the Juno Tab 3, a new tablet from US-based hardware vendor Juno Computers. This device runs on Linux and offers users the choice of Debian-based Mobian Linux or Ubuntu/Kubuntu 24.04 LTS as its operating system.
The Juno Tab 3 is equipped with an Intel Alder Lake-N Celeron N100 processor, featuring 4 cores and 4 threads, a base clock speed of 1.10GHz, and a turbo boost up to 3.40GHz. It includes Intel UHD Graphics and a 12.1-inch anti-glossy IPS touchscreen. The screen supports a 2K resolution (2160x1440px), a 60 Hz refresh rate, a 3:2 aspect ratio, and 10-point capacitive touch functionality.
This tablet boasts an all-metal chassis and includes dual stereo speakers, a 5000 mAh 38Wh battery capable of up to 5 hours of usage, and supports 4K video output at 60Hz. It features a detachable US-English keyboard, 12GB of 4800MHz LPDDR5 RAM, and M.2 2242 SATA III SSD storage options up to 2TB.
For connectivity, the Juno Tab 3 offers Intel AX101 Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, two USB-C 3.1 ports (one supporting charging and video output), a micro HDMI port, a micro SD/TF 3.5mm card reader, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a built-in microphone.
Software-wise, the Linux tablet runs Mobian Linux, a Debian-based GNU/Linux distribution tailored for mobile devices, running the Phosh (GNOME-like) mobile UI or Ubuntu 24.04 LTS with the GNOME desktop, as well as Kubuntu 24.04 LTS with the KDE Plasma desktop environment.
